First Bath 最初のお風呂

Riku took his first real bath with me. 璃空と一緒に初めてのお風呂に入りました。

He seemed to really enjoy himself.  気持ちやさそうだったよ！

Yuki and I took Riku in for his one month check-up so we took along the kitchen sink.

１ヶ月の診察に連れて行ったからすべての荷物を持って行った。

We were worried that he might be a little underweight, but he was in the norm.

He came up aces and got a clean bill of health. He's now eight pounds nine ounces and is 23 inches!
体重はそんなに増えなかったとういう不安があったけどけっきょく正常だたし、健康だた！今は３８９８グラム、５６.１センチメトルです！

Smile! 笑う！

Riku is starting to express himself... other than crying.

泣き以外いろな顔をし始めている。

Omiyamairi お宮参り

We went to our local shrine for 'Omiyamairi'. It's a Shinto ceremony to give thanks for the birth a child and to have a priest pray for their health and happiness. It's pretty similar to a Christian baptism. It was a rainy day, but it let up while we were there.
お宮参りしに行きました。雨の日だったけどちょうど出掛けたときに止んだ。
