Getting Ready For Children's Day こどもの日の準備

We're getting ready for Children's Day here in Japan. Those families with boys are setting up 'Kabuto's' (ceremonial warriors headpiece) inside their homes and putting up 'Koinobori's' (large Japanese carp streamers) outside.

日本ではこどもの日の準備中です。兜を飾ったり鯉のぼりを立っています。

 Grandma Bosu gave Riku the 'Kabuto' and Grandma Nishida gave him the 'Koinobori'.

Thank you, Grandma's!!

璃空はボスおばあさんから兜をもらって、西田おばあさんから鯉のぼりをもらった。

ありがとう！！

While Riku was fast asleep on his father's shoulder he put him on the 'reserve' shoulder. 

お父さんの肩にぐっすりした間に偽の肩にのせた。ごめんね璃空！
